I need books on slavery. I prefer physical books.

What title are you looking for regarding slavery in a print book? How many print books are you looking for?  How long is your assignment?

Did you mean Slavery in the United States in the 1800s or present day/modern day slavery?

If you don't have a specific title, the Library of Congress classification location for US Slavery of the 1800s in our stacks is E423-E655. If you tell me more and can wait, I can check our stacks for 2 or 3 print book choices, you can check out.

You also need to consider that in the conversation of Critical Race theory, there are many books that are over 10 years old that don't cover the updated language and expanded story of the African American experience, where online scholarly journals would provide the most current information about the subject.

For the discussion of Modern slavery, the United Nations documents provide an overview as you decide what exactly you are looking to use for your assignment.

Here is the list of print books available on US Slavery at Newark Public Library available today at the Main Branch on Broad Street.  Do you have Public Library card? I can help you get it now and you can walk over today.
